56 Dean Street welcome representatives from DHSC, UKHSA and NHSE

30 January 2025

56 Dean Street welcomed representatives from Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), UKHSA and NHSE.

On Wednesday 29 January, the 56 Dean Street team welcomed representatives from Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS England to provide insights into HIV prevention, treatment, the use and administration of PrEP in the community, and support services for individuals living with HIV. This visit will support the Government in the development of the new HIV Action Plan, which is set to be published in Summer 2025.

The group also visited pioneering sexual health clinic, Dean Street Express, to further understand patient pathways and the unique one-stop-shop approach that this clinic offers.

Dr Tara Suchak, Service Lead, commented ‘It was great to host a visit for DHSC, UKHSA and NHSE colleagues to ensure we are part of vital conversations around what the future of HIV provisions and support will look like in the UK. As a leading HIV and sexual health care centre, we are proud to be involved in these conversations and share our experiences as the Government shapes the new HIV Action Plan.’

Well done to the 56 Dean Street Team.
