Caroline leaves the Trust this month, after nineteen years at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital during which time she has had many roles.
Notably, Caroline was project manager for the pioneering work the Trust lead in establishing routine screening for HIV and other blood borne viruses in the emergency department. Her hard work helped to develop the evidence base which ultimately lead to the national roll-out and routine commissioning of this initiative.
She has also been heavily involved in the design and development of Klick's digital health platform and clinical pathway for people living with HIV, providing skilful navigation and oversight of the roadmap in response to patient feedback. Winning the HSJ Partnership award this month is a testament to Caroline's dedication, tenacity and hard work.
Marta Boffito, Clinical Director for HIV, Sexual health, Gender care and Dermatology, shares “In the past 19 years Caroline's positivity and hard work have been truly inspiring and had a remarkable positive impact on the lives of NHS staff members and patients. She will be truly missed and we hope our paths will cross again. We hope Caroline will take a break and enjoy life and we are sure that she will continue to make an impact in whatever she does in the future”.
The HIV/Sexual health team, as well as the Trust, would like to express a big thank you to Caroline for all her incredible dedication and hard work in driving HIV care and innovation at the Trust.
