Midwife leader honoured after 35 years

On 12 December Toni retired from West Middlesex University Hospital. She served over 35 years with the Trust and 40 years in the NHS. Tonie was the first non-medical appointment to clinical director at the Trust, and was a prominent force in Midwifery. At farewell lunch, hosted by Trust Chief Executive Lesley Watts and Pippa Nightingale, Chief Nursing Officer, her former team members from far and wide came to celebrate her achievements.
Prof Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent, NHS England and Improvement, presented the Gold Award for outstanding achievement and exceptional contributions within her distinguished career in midwifery.
