Incredible commitment from Julia and Hans Rausing towards our COVID-19 response

Just two days after our hospital charity CW+ launched its COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund, they received an incredible commitment from Julia and Hans Rausing. This generous support will provide equipment, new technology, and vital assistance for our frontline staff.

Julia and Hans Rausing commented: “This is an extraordinarily tough time for everyone across the country, particularly for the most vulnerable in society. Many charities and organisations are at the forefront of this pandemic, and we hope these donations can help them continue their essential work when it’s needed most.”

This phenomenal commitment from Julia and Hans Rausing will help us provide the additional intensive care support and capacity we urgently need, while also supporting our dedicated teams and boosting morale across our organisation.”

This donation from Julia and Hans Rausing not only strengthens our clinical response but is also a significant morale boost for our staff, who are working tirelessly to care for patients. In times like these, we deeply appreciate the support of our community and network of friends.

The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust is a charitable fund supporting organisations and initiatives that provide benefit to society in the UK. The Trust exists to realise the philanthropy of Hans Rausing and Julia Rausing. Since its formation, it has provided over 220 grants totalling more than £200 million. Funding is given to organisations working within three main areas: Health and Wellbeing; Welfare and Education; and Arts and Culture.
