The North West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre was officially opened at Central Middlesex Hospital this week.
This week, the North West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre was officially opened at Central Middlesex Hospital. It will involve closer working between the four acute trusts in North West London to help reduce waiting times for patients in local boroughs.
Many planned orthopaedic inpatient and day care surgeries for hip, knee, or other routine bone and joint surgery will now take place at this new centre rather than at Chelsea and Westminster or West Middlesex Hospitals, enabling people to be seen more quickly. Patients will receive information on where their procedure will take place.
The centre is expected to complete an extra 4,000 surgeries a year.
