On 26 June, pioneering sexual health clinic 56 Dean Street—part of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust—collaborated with SoulCycle UK to host a ‘Ride for Pride’ fundraising event.
SoulCycle is an LGBTQ+ friendly leading lifestyle brand offering signature indoor cycling classes in Notting Hill and Soho, the latter studio located just a stone’s throw away from 56 Dean Street’s central London location.
More than 30 Trust staff, friends and family came together at SoulCycle’s Soho studio to pedal for Pride, raising more than £550 for our charity CW+, with funds going to 56 Dean Street and the Trust’s LGBTQ+ network.
Among the attendees were Tara Suchak, Service Lead for 56 Dean Street, and Rob Bleasdale, Chief Nursing Officer at the Trust.
Tara said: “As Europe’s busiest sexual health clinic, based in Soho, we are delighted to partner with our neighbour SoulCycle UK to raise awareness and celebrate Pride.”
Eva Leibbrandt, International General Manager at SoulCycle UK, said: “SoulCycle is honoured for the opportunity to support the NHS and their dedication to LGBTQIA+ communities. Through an impactful mind-body-soul experience, SoulCycle is proud to foster an inclusive environment where all souls are welcome and to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of all riders.”
This event comes just three days before London Pride, where more than 70 colleagues from the Trust, including community services, will be rallying in the parade to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. This year’s theme is #WeAreEverywhere—this powerful message is about celebrating LGBTQ+ people living authentically and without apology in all spaces.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Ride for Pride at SoulCycle and made the celebration such a success.
