Sexual Health team wins the Chloe Orkin Award at BHIVA 2024 Spring Conference

Hasan Mirza, Pharmacist Practitioner, and sexual health colleagues, won the Chloe Orkin Award for the best presentation in the field of social sciences.
The British HIV Association (BHIVA) 2024 Spring Conference was held in Birmingham last week, which saw Hasan Mirza, Pharmacist Practitioner, and sexual health colleagues, win the Chloe Orkin Award for the best presentation in the field of social sciences. Hasan presented on the Desi POV project; a digital campaign to improve HIV and sexual health awareness in the South Asian community. Congratulations to Hasan and the team on this incredible achievement!
Throughout the conference Senior Clinical fellows, Dr Edu Peres and Dr Hudson Guvyer, as well as Suki Leung and the Kobler pharmacy team, also presented posters showcasing their recent research on HIV related issues and topics.
Dr Karen Gurney, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Psychosexologist at 56 Dean Street, attended as a panellist for the first workshop on sexual wellness, HIV and quality of life. This was followed by Dr Graeme Moyle and Dr Jasmini Alagaratnam, Consultants in HIV Medicine, who spoke and chaired respectively on cardiovascular disease and HIV.
