NHS Staff Survey results—number one in learning culture

17 March 2025

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has again demonstrated significant improvement across a raft of measures in the latest NHS Staff Survey results.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has again demonstrated significant improvement across a raft of measures in the latest NHS Staff Survey, in particular, being number one in learning culture in London, continuously staying safe and healthy, working flexibly and overall staff morale.

The latest results of the 2024 Survey—which share the experiences of over 50% of our staff—report that we ranked above the national acute average for all nine People Promise Elements and themes.

These results reflect the dedication of our staff and the steps we have taken to develop a culture of learning and empowerment while fostering professional growth across the hospital.

Chief Executive Lesley Watts said: “I’d like to thank my colleagues who responded. I am incredibly proud of our more than 7,000 staff, whose dedication is reflected in these outstanding results." Our scores indicate high levels of staff engagement and morale, and we were rated significantly above the sector average as a recommended place to work.

“I want to acknowledge the areas requiring improvement—particularly regarding the violence and discrimination some colleagues face at work, which has a significant impact on their well-being. Ensuring a safe and supportive workplace remains a priority, and we are committed to further progress.”

“We are now analysing the results in detail to develop actions for further improvement at the Trust.”
