We marked Trans Day of Visibility
05 April 2024
The Trust marked Trans Day of Visibility with a panel discussion at West Middlesex Hospital.
On the same day that TransPlus welcomed their 1000th patient through its doors, the Trust marked Trans Day of Visibility with a panel discussion at West Middlesex Hospital.
During the event, we heard from various members of staff, as well as special guests, Claire Green from Trans Radio UK, and service user Alexa Phillips, who shared their experience of transition and how the visibility of trans people and patients have changed throughout the years. The event was an opportunity to provide authentic, diverse and accurate representation of trans and non-binary people and to showcase what parts about trans brings them the most joy.
International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDoV) is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender and non-binary people. It focusses on a positive view of the trans experience, sharing stories and personal experiences as well as their contributions to society.
Thank you to all of those that helped us to celebrate our Trans patients and staff alike during this event and congratulations to the TransPlus team on this outstanding achievement.
