West Middlesex lift refurbishment (Apr–Oct 2025)

We are carrying out essential refurbishment work on Lifts 3 and 4 in the main hospital building from 31 March to 20 October. These lifts provide direct access to Syon 1 & 2 (Floor 2) and Osterley 1 & 2 (Floor 3).

To minimise disruption, the lifts will be refurbished one at a time, meaning only one lift will be in service at any given time:

• Lift 4 closes: 31 Mar–14 Jul
• Lift 4 opens: 14 Jul onwards
• Lift 3 closes: 21 Jul–20 Oct
• Lift 3 and 4 opens: 20 Oct

Lift access and prioritisation

• Lift access will be prioritised for patients who are unable to use the stairs, including those on hospital beds.
• Urgent patient transfers will take priority. Non-urgent transfers and deliveries may experience delays.

Alternative routes

We encourage visitors and staff to use alternative routes whenever possible, including:

• Stairs
• East Wing lifts
• Lifts 1 and 2 in the main hospital building
• Link bridge to Level 1 for access to alternative lifts
