RIQI 2023 event

As part of the NHS75 Birthday celebration, the Research, Innovation and Quality Improvement teams invite you to celebrate and showcase best practice across the Trust at RIQI 2023.

Research, Innovation and Quality Improvement (RIQI) week—3–6 July 2023

As part of the NHS75 Birthday celebration, the Research, Innovation and Quality Improvement teams invite you to celebrate and showcase best practice across the Trust at RIQI 2023.

Join us during a week of in-person and live-streamed events, showcasing project successes to inspire future work to continue improving patient care and experience across the Trust.

We will hear from a range of colleagues leading these initiatives at our Trust, including our keynote speaker Prof Brian Gazzard CBE (Chair in HIV Medicine, Consultant Gastroenterologist) who will speak about the impact of HIV research in Chelsea over time, Dr Christopher M Orton (Consultant in Respiratory Medicine) who will provide an insight into PIONEER, a Trust sponsored randomised controlled trial of early intervention in patients hospitalised with COVID-19, and Dr Brent Bartholomew (Director of Clinical Studies) and the Undergraduate Medical Education Fellows on the use of augmented reality to empower staff and enhance care. We will also hold a panel debate about the future and opportunities of research at our Trust, including Professor Jonathan Weber (FoM Dean/AHSC Director); Lesley Watts (CWFT CEO) and Dr Roger Chinn (CMO).

At both hospital sites, we will also present a Digital Poster Gallery showcasing over 80 recent projects at our Trust. On the event days we will display 20 printed RIQI posters and 10 panels of the Humans of Health Research Exhibition in the public areas of our hospitals.

Read more about the programme and the range of speakers and watch the Digital Poster Gallery below.
