Emergency Medicine Consultant Honoured with Churchill Fellowship Medallion

We are pleased to share that Dr Shweta Gidwani, Emergency Medicine Consultant, received the prestigious Churchill Fellowship medallion.

We are pleased to share that Dr Shweta Gidwani, Emergency Medicine Consultant, received the prestigious Churchill Fellowship medallion, recognising her report on global workforce capacity building. Shweta presented her report titled, ‘Drivers of burnout among doctors and strategies for talent retention in the context of global healthcare workforce capacity building: Fostering a culture of care in healthcare’.

Shweta was one of 122 Fellows honoured at the London ceremony on 3rd September 2024 and was welcomed by Jeremy Soames, Chair of the Churchill Fellowship and grandson of Sir Winston Churchill.

Soames shared,

“The achievements of Churchill Fellows at this year’s Award Ceremony are remarkable. Their international research and contributions form a substantial body of work, reflecting the positive impact being made across communities and sectors. Congratulations to all recipients for their dedication and energy, which are the true strengths behind the Fellowship’s success”

Shweta will also be presenting her work on the same theme at the European Society of Emergency Medicine Conference on 13th October in Copenhagen. Well done on this incredible achievement Shweta!
