e-Induction programme for new doctors
When you start work at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital you are required to complete a mandatory e-learning induction programme for new doctors. This programme is designed in short modules of 10–20 minutes. Each module covers a different aspect of mandatory induction including:
- Conflict resolution
- Dementia
- Equality and diversity
- Fire safety
- Health and safety
- Infection prevention (clinical)
- Infection prevention (non-clinical)
- Information governance
- Liquid nitrogen dispensers
- Moving and handling
- Patient safety exam
- Pharmacy and medicine management
- Preventing radicalisation
- Safeguarding children levels 1 and 2
- Safeguarding adults levels 1 and 2
- Basic life support (BLS) adults
- Basic life support (BLS) children
- VTE (venous thromboembolism)
- Working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital
- Workplace-based assessments
- How to give good feedback
You can undertake the programme from any computer with internet access. After reading all the material in each module, you will be asked a series of questions to test your understanding. A log of your progress will be maintained for Trust records.
You will be issued with a username and password to access the modules and we expect you to complete them within one month of starting. You will not have access to study leave funding until your induction is complete.
