Craniofacial surgery (children)

What we do

Our specialist craniofacial team performs complex surgery on children to correct a wide range of deformities and disfigurements relating to the head and neck. The service includes facial plastic surgery and oral/maxillofacial surgery.

Children and families using our services are supported by a paediatric craniofacial nurse who acts as a link between families and other members of the team and helps with access to community services and any other further support.

We also work with the adult craniofacial service to ensure that children benefit from a seamless progression from child to adolescent and adult services, if needed.

Our team

Our team includes specialists with wide-ranging and highly specialised expertise in craniofacial surgery, maxillofacial, neurosurgery and surgeries performed in and around the eye. The team is led by Mr Jonathan Collier, Clinical Lead and Consultant Oral and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeon.
