What we do

Chelsea and Westminster is a highly specialised regional centre for children’s orthopaedics in North West London. Our orthopaedic service is one which provides intervention to a full complement of musculoskeletal and complex children's orthopaedic needs, including clubfoot, cerebral palsy, developmental hip dysplasia, limb reconstruction, complex paediatric hand and transitional care. 

We house the second largest clubfoot clinic in the country, attracting patients from all over the UK and beyond who seek the ponseti method of treatment.

Our highly experienced and internationally renowned team comprise three consultants—Alison Hulme, Stephen Ng Man Sun and Stuart Evans—and hand surgeon Mr Max Horwitz.

Alongside our consultants, we have an orthopaedic nurse and advanced practice physiotherapists in paediatric orthopaedics who assist to reduce our consultant waiting lists, lead on monitoring complex cases, elective surgical planning, preoperative assessment and postoperative rehabilitation recommendations and organisation.

As we are a regional centre, we work closely with our community colleagues to provide a seamless service between tertiary and primary settings.
