What we do

Chelsea and Westminster is the only hospital in London to offer a wide range of expertise in children’s plastic surgery. We care for children with general plastic surgery needs and run a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic, together with the orthopaedic team, to care for children with congenital hand problems.

Our surgeons work closely with several children’s specialities, including dermatology, burns and craniofacial surgery, and are fully supported by the physiotherapy, occupational therapy and play therapy teams.

All children are seen by a senior doctor and the team includes a specialist plastic surgery nurse who can provide home visits for children living outside of central London who require follow-up care, including dressing changes or removal of stitches.

Our team

Our team is made up of seven consultants—including specialists in hand and general children’s plastic surgery—and a specialist plastic surgery nurse.
