Diagnostic service
What we do
Our cardiology diagnostic services offer a range of non-invasive and therapeutic tests for patients referred to either hospital by their GP.
Diagnostic testing includes:
- Routine, 24/48 hour and 7 day ECG monitoring and contrast testing
- Cardiac memo recorders to capture infrequent events (such as dizziness or black outs)
- Blood pressure monitoring (including 24 hours)
- Transthoracic (external ultrasound) and transoesophageal (internal ultrasound) ECGs
- Dobutamine (using medication) and treadmill stress ECGs
- Tilt tests for patients with light-headedness or who suffer from dizziness or loss of consciousness
- Exercise tolerance testing
- Permanent pacemaker insertion
- Reveal device implant to record events, black outs and other symptoms related to heart rhythms
