Nutrition and dietetics
Nutrition and dietetic services provided by dietitians at Chelsea and Westminster hospital and West Middlesex hospital. We translate scientific information about food into practical dietary advice. As well as providing impartial advice about nutrition and health, dietitians also advise about food-related problems and treat disease and ill health.
What we do
Based at both C&W hospital and WMUH the dietetics team is vibrant and innovative group, always striving to ensure up-to-date and the best possible nutritional care for our patients. We are a team of registered dietitians and dietetic assistants with multiple expertise including paediatrics, HIV, weight management service, weight loss (bariatric) surgery and a specialist adult gastroenterology service. We also offer a multi-disciplinary approach to high cholesterol, diabetes, Refsum’s and high blood pressure.
The title ‘dietitian’ can only be used by appropriately trained professionals who have registered with the Health Professionals Council. Registered dietitians are uniquely qualified to translate scientific information about food into practical dietary advice. As well as providing impartial advice about nutrition and health, dietitians also advise about food-related problems and treat disease and ill health.
