What is skin camouflage?

Skin camouflage is best described as products (usually a combination of crème and powder) that are designed to blend in with the natural colours of the skin.

Is skin camouflage suitable for me?

It can be used for a variety of skin conditions, marks and scars. It cannot be used on any infected, inflamed or broken skin.

Skin camouflage products are suitable for adults and children of all ages but are not usually recommended for babies or very young children, unless suggested by their doctor.

Application 

As discussed at your appointment, please follow the outlined application process. 

  • Wash hands before commencing
  • Use application kit as illustrated
  • Make sure the area is clean and dry prior to applying the camouflage product. 
  • Sun protection, topical skin medication or moisturiser can be applied prior to application of the camouflage products.
  • Allow 15 minutes for products to absorb or blot off any excess with a tissue.
  • Apply product as pre application method explained 
  • Do not apply the camouflage over any rashes, open wounds, infections or undiagnosed skin conditions. 

Removal

  • We recommend removing the camouflage daily 
  • We recommend removing the camouflage with soap (or shower gel) and water
  • The application of a moisturiser immediately after drying is recommended. 

Product care

  • Keep products out of direct sunlight. 
  • Always check the best before date and do not use after the expiry date
  • The products are designed to be waterproof. If they become wet do not rub, allow to dry or pat gently with a tissue
  • Camouflage products are not considered 100% rub proof. If they do transfer to any clothing, they can be easily removed with laundry detergent.
